“
I started 2025 with the goal of moving up a level in dressage. I didn't realize it at the time, but my focus was on how my riding looks (what would a judge see and score). To help refine my aids and accomplish this, Heather prioritized developing feel and connection over holding a shape and performing the movements. Throughout the year, the work became less about presentation and more about partnership, resulting in a quieter, more relaxed ride and deeper sense of connection. Most importantly, my horse's increased comfort and responsiveness made it clear that I am learning how he wants to be ridden.
