Training

Castle Farm is ready to assist in the breaking, training, and conditioning of show or pleasure horses. Our trainer, Heather King, has decades of experience, along with her assistant Danielle Bryant, and can help you with:

Green horses
Horses with bad habits (hard mouth, bad ground manners, etc.)
Out-of-shape horses
Desensitization
Trailer loading
Horses needing training in other fields

We offer training plans tailored to a horse’s individual needs and your personal goals. Typically, horses in full training receive up to 4 sessions a week.

Lessons

Castle Farm offers both private and group English style riding lessons for children (best for ages 2 and up) and adults, from beginner to advanced levels of experience in various disciplines.

Board

Castle Farm is pleased to offer boarding services at our facility in Knightdale. Boarders have access to all of our riding areas, including the main arena, dressage arena, jump field, cross country field, and round pen.

Owner and barn manager live on property
24/7 turnout
Trunk storage
Matted grooming areas
Outdoor wash area
Twice daily blanket changes during the winter
Scheduled twice yearly veterinary checks/vaccinations; deworming as needed
Facility is open 7 days a week
Quarterly laundry service (additional cost)

We can develop the right formulation of feed and supplements, tailored to your horse and their dietary needs. Additionally, we feed top quality hay and fescue year round.
We can assist with scheduling farrier, chiropractor, and saddle fitting appointments with local professionals who we have long-term relationships with.

Sales

With 35+ years of experience in buying and selling horses, we can assist in purchasing a horse, as well as preparing and facilitating the sale of your horse through our online networks.

Breeding / Foaling Out / Imprinting

With 35 years experience in breeding, pregnancy, and delivery, Castle Farm can provide a safe place for your mare to have her foal. We can offer broodmare board, monitoring, and wet mare care after delivery. Imprinting services are also available.

Events

Camps

Castle Farm regularly holds horsemanship camps. These camps, held for both adults and children, teach folks the basics of horse care, history, biology, tack and equipment, and other aspects of horsemanship. Campers will also typically get to ride during these sessions.
